Puycelsi

In the Tarn, just 45 minutes from your Grand Hotel d'Orléans, come and discover the charming village of Puycelsi.

This fortified medieval village was built on a rocky plateau overlooking the valley of the Vère. Listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, Puycelsi is a village that deserves it because you have to climb high to get there. First you can see it, perched on its promontory that dominates the forest. Then you have to climb the slope (which is accessible by car). 

You will discover magnificent ramparts (more than 800 meters), small medieval streets, narrow passages, almost secret, alleys, stone houses, wood and brick of the fourteenth or fifteenth century, a round path, fortified gates... 

Puycelsi is a village that has preserved all the charm and mystery of medieval bastides. Walk along its path that offers superb views of all the surrounding landscapes. And get lost in its small alleys so typical. Just next to the village, go on a discovery of the Conservatory Orchard which reveals ancient varieties of fruit apples, pears and grapes.
